Xanthogreen®: Natural, Fast acting Specialty Lutein Esters
A randomized, placebo-controlled trial involving 128 healthy volunteers aged 18 to 50 was conducted over a 12-week supplementation period. The primary focus was to evaluate improvements in Macular Pigment Optical Density (MPOD) using flicker photometry. Secondary parameters of eye health, such as contrast sensitivity, dry eye symptoms, visual processing speed, and intraocular pressure, were also assessed.
The study included three active groups, each receiving a different super-critically extracted lutein ester formulation—Xanthogreen®, Xanthogreen® TOS, and Xanthogreen® ULTRA—at varying doses, alongside a placebo group.
